Junior Hockey

We are a proud family club and are very supportive of our junior players, catering for both girls and boys age 5–16, at all levels of skill and experience. There is something for every players ability no matter what age they start playing juniors. In our juniors our focus is to teach players the techniques and tactics to enable them to enjoy hockey at the standard they strive for. All junior players require is a mouthguard, shin guards, a hockey stick and gripped shoes. The Club is able to supply sticks, shin guards and goal-keeping gear for borrowing if you would like to ‘come and try’.

• Under 14 – born in 2009 or 2010
• Under 16 – born in 2007 or 2008

Competitions are played both home and away over 14 rounds with 2 weeks of Finals. Under 10 is a half field competition played on Saturday mornings at Dandenong. The Under 12 teams play on Saturday mornings and Under 14 and 16 teams play on Friday nights. Training is on Tuesday or Wednesday nights commencing every March. We love to watch our juniors grow and develop into the players we know they are capable to be, and we cannot wait to see their potential become realised.

Indoor Hockey

This competition runs for 15 rounds before and after the Christmas/New Year period. The teams have 6 players, including goal keeper, and are mixed. The games are very fast so it is a great way to keep fit and develop great close stick skills. The age groups are: • U12 • U14 • U16
